Sometimes the simplest item is a must-have on travel. That’s how we feel about the Nite Ize Gear Ties. Think of them as permanent, colorful versions of single-use twist-ties. Yup. That simple. They come in a huge range of sizes, from a tiny 3 inches up to about 32 inches.
For travel, we lean toward the shorter ones, from 3 inches to 12 inches ($4.50-$5.60, 2-4 packs). They work great for keeping electronic cables organized, but we’ve also used them to “lock” pack or suitcase zippers shut, make little hooks in hotel rooms to hang something, or keep windows or curtains where they belong. Really, only the imagination limits you.
Of course, there is also a wider line of Nite Ize Gear Ties products, including ones equipped with sticky mounts for a bendable hook or two attached to a tiny LED light that looks like a little four-legged bug. The bug is great bedside in hostels, guesthouses and tents for those middle-of-the-night “outings.”
Our final word on Nite Ize Gear Ties
Don’t leave home without them.
P.S. They also work great around the house to tame that spaghetti of cables and wires behind desks and entertainment centers. Or any other use you might imagine in between those active traveling adventures which is why we are pleased to bestow our HITT Seal of Approval.
